Baryton Peter McGillivray from Canada won the second price, and bass Insung Sim from Korea won the third place.
The Queen Sonja Competition is building an international reputation as an important event for young singers. The Competition is held every other year in cooperation with the Norwegian National Opera, Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra, Norwegian Academy of Music and the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation.
