Consulates

19/07/2010 // There are five Norwegian Honorary Consuls tied to the Embassy in Pretoria. Two are based in South Africa and the remaining three are in Namibia, Botswana and Lesotho. Honorary Consuls are appointed by the Norwegian Government, but are usually nationals of the host country

The Consuls  have agreed to represent Norway in their region on a voluntary basis. Their main task is to promote Norwegian interests and further the co-operation between Norway and the host country in their region.

The Honorary Consules often have interaction with Norway through their day-to-day business, and can provide advice and assistance in relation to Norwegian authorities, institutions or individuals. They can also provide assistance and advice to Norwegians in their interaction with the host country. For instance, they can receive passport applications from Norwegian nationals as well as visa applications and forward them to the Norwegian Embassy in the host country

Below is contact information for each consulate.
