Processing period:
South African passport holders: strictly 7 – 14 working days
Non-South African passport holders: strictly 3 – 16 weeks (All these applications are sent to UDI in Oslo for approval)
Processing only begins once ALL documents have been received
Holders of DIPLOMATIC or OFFICIAL passports, do not require a visa to enter Norway. However, the applicant must check with the relevant Consulate of the country of entry whether a transit visa is required.
Fees:
As of 10 September 2009, the visa fee is R750.00*
All fees have to be paid when submitting the application. All fees are to be paid in ZAR. The fee is a consideration fee. Cheques are not accepted as payment for visa fees. The fee will not be returned if the case is refused or withdrawn.
Payments for applications submitted at the consulates are to be paid in cash at the consulates.

Proof of banktransfers/deposit will be required with the application. At present we do not have the facility to accept credit or debit cards. No cheques are accepted.
Children under the age of 6 years are exempted from paying the fee.
If the applicant is married to an EU or EEA Citizen and they are travelling TOGETHER, the applicant will be exempted from paying the fee. However, if the applicant is travelling without the EU/EEA spouse, the fee will be applicable.
