Three of Norway’s prime comedians and creators of award winning shows such as Team Antonsen and Team Eckbo received a heartily welcome at Joburg television event Input 2008
19/05/2008 :: The three Norwegian comedians Harald Eia, Bård Tufte and Atle Antonsen presented their latest TV show In Our Garden II at the annual International Public Television – Input- showcase, this year held in Sandton, Johannesburg. The trio have been awarded several prizes, including the Norwegian Comedy Award for their 2006 production Team Antonsen. Their latest production In Our Garden II has been aired this winter in Norway with excellent ratings.
The Input showcase is an event for people working with public broadcasters with a special focus on innovative programmes, seeking to redefine the rules of television. About ten Norwegians participated in the event this year, which marks its 30th anniversary, with programmes ranging from comedy to war documentaries. The comedy trio from Norway highlighted the range of high-quality documentaries at the event, as they extract ideas for comedy shows from all kinds of productions and not only other comedians. Still, they were pleased to catch some South African stand up after a round trip in Soweto.
