Due to the shortage of electric power in South Africa the Gauteng area has experienced a number of power cuts this month.
06/02/2008 :: So far the Embassy has mainly been affected in the afternoon, from around one o’clock until after closing time. The Embassy cannot operate normally during a black out as all computer systems will be unaccessible. If failing to make contact with the Embassy we urge the public to take this into account, and use telephone for urgent matters (+27 (0) 12 342 6100).
Electric power supplier Eskom has announced that power cuts will continue for at leat this week. The Embassy is sorry for any inconvenience caused.
